Babylon does not merely want their labour. It wants their loyalty. Their language. Their education. Their names.
Among them is Daniel. The empire can change what it calls him. It can determine where he lives, what he studies and which king he serves. But it cannot so easily decide who he is.
The Interpreter of Kings follows Daniel across decades of political upheaval as kings rise, empires shift and a foreign captive becomes one of the most trusted—and dangerous—men in royal government.
Dreams no adviser can explain bring Daniel into the presence of kings. Power brings opportunity and danger in equal measure.
